One day I was just walking down the street. It was like any other day, it was six and I was trying to get home at seven. When all of a sudden I saw a man with an “I’ve decided to remain drug free” hat on. At first I thought it was some sort of peacemaker but for some reason by the look in his eyes I said to myself, “Do I know him?” I thought I should just walk past the guy, but before I could he stopped and said my name. I looked at him confused and I asked who he was. He took of his hat and I was surprised to see my uncle standing right in front of me. At first I didn’t react at all, probably because I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I said to him “I thought you were dead.” He said to me I am but I just came by to check on you. “Uncle for seven years I still listen to the advice you gave me.” I said to him. He looked at me and said,”But will you continue to listen to it.” “Of course.” I said in response. But what I don’t understand is why. Why did you save me, why couldn’t you save yourself and then give me the advice?” “Because.” He said to me, “It was already too late for me. I knew I would die soon but I also knew I had enough time to save you.” “But why?” I said sadly. “I did it so my sister, your mother wouldn’t have to live with worry. In my eyes I saved you, her and myself as well. “How did you save yourself?” I asked. “If I watched you from the clouds in Heaven doing my mistakes then I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it.” He looked at his watch and said to me “I have to go back, my time is up.” Then after that he vanished. I was happy that he was enjoying the afterlife but I was sad that he had to leave so early. I can’t tell you what he saved me from but it is hidden in this story. The only thing I will tell you are the five words he said to me, the five words that saved my life, the words he said to me before he died.
“Never do what I did
